Founder profile
Why Fyltec was founded
Fyltec was founded by James Pearson, a Certified Information Systems Auditor (ISACA) and technology risk specialist.
James works in a senior advisory role focused on technology risk and governance, where he has supported large organisations across regulated and complex industries, including financial services, logistics, retail, and manufacturing. Over time, he saw that enterprises usually have mature, well-funded cyber and IT risk controls, while families are often left with fragmented, hard-to-use safety tools.
He isn't a parent himself, but through close family, friends and colleagues raising children, he has seen first-hand how easily kids are exposed to harmful content online, and how few tools genuinely help. That gap is personal, and it's why Fyltec exists.
That gap became the reason Fyltec exists: to bring enterprise-grade thinking to family online safety in a way that is simple, practical, and trustworthy for parents. Fyltec combines strong protection with clear controls so families can reduce exposure to harmful content, support healthy digital habits, and keep children safer online.
